"Where am I? What day is it? What time is it?"

These are the first things out of my mouth if someone wakes me up from a nap, or before I'm ready to get up in the morning.....

Most nights, I could sleep through a thunderstorm without a problem. If I do wake up during a storm, I assume if it's really dangerous, Mike will wake me up, right? Well, he kinda thinks I'll do the same thing for him. So if a storm comes in the middle of the night, and we are supposed to go to the basement, we're screwed. Because I often sleep so deep, I hate to nap. I get to sleeping really deep, then I wake up startled, not knowing where I am, what day it is, am I late for something? Then I'm baffled why I was even asleep! So this morning when the alarm went off at 5:30 am, for the third Wednesday in a row for Bootcamp, I was startled and confused. I was really sleeping good! I'm usually only up this early to go to the airport for vacation! When I realized I hadn't packed anything for any kind of fabulous vacation, I remembered I was just getting up for a small trip.....down the road......to Bootcamp. Here's when I made it to the kitchen for a cup of Jo.

Who knew clocks ran all night long? They must be exhausted!

Pre-workout breakfast.

Post-workout breakfast....

Egg, strawberry jam and a spread of Laughing Cow Cheese all on an English Muffin........Awesome combo!

Afternoon snack!

I had a little shopping to do this afternoon......I bought two Size M's!! He he!

My skirt was a bargain for $9.99! It feels like I'm wearing PAJAMA'S! BONUS!

The dress was NOT $9.99, but who cares??? It's a size M!!! Yes, I am posing. Hey, I had to get my IPad out of the photo, and give a little sassiness to my picture!

Lunch.....salad bar.......

Now for dinner!

Zucchini..

Roasted tater's and onions.....

And some baked tilapia......In a cast iron skillet.....with butter!

"love the life you live, live the life you love"

I was in the MOOD for FOOD!

I woke up HUNGRY! I decided to just have some coffee to start, so I could really think about what I wanted to eat for breakfast........yes, I had four cups while pondering my eats and completing my morning task. You think I wasn't wired after all that? That's right.....I had some Vanilla, a little Butter Toffee, Caribou and my all time favorite? Donut House Cinnamon Roll!

Well, now I am bouncing around the house. I had 1/4 C Kashi (1 PPV), the last cubes of the fabulously creamy Havarti (2 PPV), the last of the Cheddar Soy Chips (3 PPV) AND the last of the Turkey Skillet Lasagna (3 PPV)! It all tasted great, but I didn't sit down and actually enjoyed any of it. Looks like fruits and veggies the rest of the day!

This was my snack around noon....grapefruit....(should I cut down on the coffee?)

Then I ate 2 of these.....(4 PPV)

Then I remembered this great.....old.....WW idea. Low Fat Graham Crackers/Fat Free Cool Whip Frozen Sandwiches! Each one is 2 PPV!

Made em...

Froze em.......

Topped em with chocolate......

Ate em! Both.

Oh, did I say fruit and veggies the rest of the day?

Before I left the house for a little work....I had some leftover chicken. wow. 1 good choice today. (2 PPV)

While out and about, I did eat this.

Dinner was taco salad. While shopping for ground turkey, I saw this and thought we should give it a try. Then I got to thinking.....if Pork is the "Other White Meat", what exactly is Turkey? The "OTHER Other White Meat"? Well, we ate the "First White Meat".

Cooked with some onion.....

Love Williams Taco Seasoning, but they have several varieties and I accidentally bought the Tex-Mex and almost DIED while eating dinner! It tasted good, but waaayyyyy too hot for me!

I grabbed this at the salad bar to simplify my dinner prep.......

My salad had no chips, little cheese, and was topped with salsa and sour cream. Mikes had chips, more cheese and Fat free Catalina Dressing, which I love, but ate too much earlier in the day and the salsa is zero PPV!

My mouth was ON FIRE! But I did really like the chicken.

To put out the fire in my mouth, I decided these might do the trick!

I only ate half. Shocking! (2 PPV)

I felt like I had a large softball lodged in my knee after the lunges at Bootcamp. I thought a days rest and some Advil would help, and I could do cardio at night, but it was still pretty achy, so I took the day off, but my points didn't really end up too awful, I just ate the wrong foods.

What Do YOU Think About When You Exercise?

I ran on the treadmill for a mere 20 minutes on Sunday. I really was crunched for time, but wanted to get at least a little cardio in before Father's Day got started. I had things to do, places to go, and people to see! I don't like to run, and I really should refer to Sunday's cardio as more of a jog, but getting my heart rate up was the goal, and I achieved that. I get a little panicky when I run, and I believe it has to do with childhood memories of running in gym class, then unexpectedly having asthma attacks with no inhaler available. I have learned to try to take my mind off of the breathing and running and focus on my body and my muscles, and what the cardio is doing for my heart and overall health. Sometimes I count weird things. Like how many steps do I run in a minute, or how many steps does it take to run a certain distance? Sometimes I can really zone into the music that is playing and up my pace. Sunday I tried different strides. I know that sounds weird, but I'm weird, so really it makes perfect sense. I wanted to be the person that looks like they almost float when they run. It hurts me when I see that person running that almost looks choppy? Soon, my arms were close to my chest and I was making a fist. I imagined myself as Rocky in training. Before I knew it, I was throwing jabs and felt the need to jump up and down with my fist in the air, but on a moving treadmill, I had the wisdom to think that through. Then all I could think about was, I hope Mike doesn't walk by and witness my "Rocky" face. I'm not sure which character I'll be portraying today on the treadmill, but I'll keep you posted! It certainly made the time fly!

I started yesterday off with a 7:00 am trip in for an oil change, trying to be the first customer in line! Tess had come in town for Father's Day, so she stuck around an extra morning and assisted me in my errands. We hit the Starbucks for breakfast while waiting on the car, and I enjoyed another "Perfect Oatmeal" made with steamed skim milk. I didn't take my favorite toy, my IPad, so this is last weeks picture of my new favorite breakfast out......

Then I was off to work for a few hours while my exhausted college student napped on the couch with the dogs. :)

By the time I got home, it was meal time again. The fridge was pretty stocked, so I started pulling things out for a nice filling lunch......Grilled zucchini, cherries, grilled chicken...feta...tomatoes....topped with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

So my body is super duper sore from Saturday's Bootcamp, and going again is going to KILL ME! A nap and some Advil were prescribed for the afternoon. (I'm not a nap person. Makes me cranky. But it was just what I needed.) Then off to Bootcamp. I swear every time I walk out the door after an hour of class, I think it was the hardest class yet. Yesterday was no exception. All I could think about was dinner, Advil, shower...and bed.

Tess stuck around for dinner too! FREE FOOD! I had her order take out and have it there when I got home. Perfect timing. Mike had his usual salad, and I convinced Tess to try my new favorite, the Hawaiian Skewers. She ordered them with steak, I had Chicken. She eats ridiculously slow (like beyond healthy slow eating, it's annoying slow eating). But today is was convenient, because I totally forgot to take a picture of my food, so I got a pic of hers, with the steak, of course.

We all had a great chat over dinner, and back to Pittsburg she went. :(

Mike made me watch the Bachelorette with him, then I got my much needed shower and sleep......Thank GOODNESS Ryan is gone!

Happy Father's Day!

The best way to keep within your points at a family function? Host it!

I really like to have the family over and cook. I also like to keep the menu point friendly, but in a way that nobody feels they are eating light. I just want everyone to enjoy the meal, and of course I want everyone to feel satisfied!

Sidenote: I can make a gazzillion bazzillion excuses to not exercise. Company arriving at my house at 9:30 am sounds like a really good reason to not exercise. When would I have time? How can I exercise, AND shower, and cook? But I am feeling pretty good about the Bootcamp thing and I really want it to pay off in the end. We go to class three days a week, and then do cardio on our own three days a week. I knew if I didn't get it in this morning, it wouldn't happen tonight. In the middle of muffin baking and coffee making and before anyone had a chance to get there, I took a break and went to the treadmill. I only did 20 minutes, but I ran most of it! Yay me!

Whats for breakfast? Who doesn't like fresh fruit? (my 17 year old niece!)

You gotta have a muffin! These are fat free, but I don't think they taste free of anything!

You just add water! I love EASY!

I made mini's. Two muffins....3 PPV.

Then a skillet full of eggs, turkey sausage, crumbled bacon, potatoes and topped with cheese. I also made Pillsbury reduced fat biscuits, but somehow they got left out of the family photos of food?

Everyone had second's, but me! :)

We had a great morning of laughs and food and pots of coffee, but I ate toooooo many of the fat free muffins!

We are going to the in-laws for BBQ! Eeeekkkkk!

I played it cool. Mom Rita had lots of fresh fruit and a big green salad, so I loaded up on those, had some turkey, (no bun, no cole slaw, no potato salad, and one bite of Mike's Apple Pie) and a couple of dill pickles and one deviled egg.

By the time we got home, it was close to dinner time, so I ended my food for the day with the last of the fruit from brunch. I might have had a fruit overload today.

"love the life you live, live the life you love"

I wish my butt looked like.......

I wish my butt looked like it felt from Bootcamp. Do you know that feeling when you have just finished lifting weights and your whole body feels a little bulky? I love that feeling! Then you look in the mirror and see you just look like you? That parts a bummer. Today my legs and butt are killing me from all the squats in Bootcamp yesterday morning, but this tells me I did them right. I just wish my butt looked as tight as it feels right now! :)

Yesterday's Eats...

Before Bootcamp........Greek yogurt and fruit.

After Bootcamp (I was starving!), so I had some more protein...

Egg whites, cheese......

Lunch was a salad with a little chicken, feta, tomatoes.....and one talespoon of my Tzatziki . I could eat this stuff on Toast! (actually, that sounds gross)

afternoon snack.....

These are tiny, but tasty. 1 PPV

And then later.......a few soy chips.....

Dinner was a new discovery! I combined a few recipes together and came up with this. I can't wait to make it again. Healthy....Easy....Delicious!

Turkey Skillet Lasagna

Before the cheeeeeeese......

After the cheeeeeeese.......

I gave myself a 4 oz pour with dinner. It's good for my heart and we were celebrating. We moved into our house 13 years ago this week! It was one alcohol exception this week, and I included it in my daily points!

Table for two please! (kitchen bar and a couple of stools will work too)
