Chilly weather ......Chili Food!

I couldn't think of a better way to start off a chilly Sunday than by preparing a big crockpot full of chili! So I did! Corn Muffins too!

Turkey AND beef!

So comforting!

Would you believe for an hour, Tess and I took advantage of FaceTime?
How cool is technology? She laid in bed while I had coffee on the couch, then worked in the kitchen. Just like old times! She's gonna LOVE this picture.

I did spend a little time alone Sunday morning watching the CBS Morning news. Mike always works the couple of Sundays before we go on vacation, so it was just me and the dogs. Well, before FaceTime, that is. One of the stories on CBS was about Nick Vujicic. Do you know who he is?

Nick was born in 1982. He is an evangelist and a motivational speaker. He was born without all four limbs. At the age of 17, he started his own non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs. He speaks about his belief that God can use any willing heart to do His work and that God is big enough to overcome any and all disabilities.

He truly is amazing. Makes my life seem so simple and worry free.

Here are a few pictures I found of him. You should Google him. He has a new book out, "Unstoppable", that I just might have to read.

As a small child, he had prosthetic arms, but decided he could do more without them than with them.

He golf's, surf's, cook's.......I don't think there is anything he doesn't do, or at least attempt to do.

He is married and they are expecting their first child. Cool, huh?

Every time I read about him, or see a TV special about him, I am reminded that my obstacles are so small.

I think he is adorable.
