The Attack of the Black Killer Wasp!

This guy came in my house Monday afternoon and I FREAKED out!

So I trapped him behind the blinds and grabbed Glad Press and Seal (I LOVE THIS STUFF!) and some tape and secured the area!

Mike is going to think I am a total dumb ass when he gets home! :) I was scared. I panicked. I think it was a brilliant idea!

The genius came home and sprayed it with wasp spray. I guess I don't think too well under pressure.......

Before my hectic afternoon, I started off the day with a yummy breakfast!

Scrambled Egg Whites with Kraft 2% Sharp Cheddar Slice (2 PPV)
English Muffin with Black Raspberry Jam (4 PPV)
Strawberries (0 PPV)
Coffee

6 PPV

While at work (I work for the most appreciative two people! Basically I work for two families running errands and doing dinner prep), I snacked on some grapes, ate a granola bar....4 PPV....

And I sampled the Turkey Basil Meatloaf I made. Yum!

I did not make the recipe exactly as it is written, and I did not calculate points, but I think 6 PPV is a good guess, depending on serving size. I ate a small piece and called it 4 PPV.

Now I need to make it for us!

A friend of mine is having a few girls over to polish off some left over drinks from a previous party, so I'm heading out for the evening, with my water glass! :)

We were instructed to bring our own fun glass!

Before leaving, I filled up on leftover salad and pizza.......7 PPV.

Snacks at Girls Night
1/2 big cookie (5 PPV)
1/2 of OTHER big cookie (5 PPV)
Pita Chips (3 PPV)
Dip (4 PPV)
White Spinach Pizza (10)

I am totally over estimating here, but just trying to be safe....

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise.
I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

Banana Nana fofana....fee fi fofanan....

"She's bananas!"........I totally am.

I should probably cut back a bit. One in the morning has become a bit of a habit! I know, I know. I did NOT get fat eating bananas, but I did get fat eating mindlessly, which is sometimes how that banana gets to my mouth first thing in the morning when I walk into the kitchen (and other times throughout the day).

Just LOOK at it! It's the PERFECT banana! Just a few little spots. Carefully sitting on the countertop. No rough housing. No big bruises. Ahhhhhh, I CAN'T NOT eat it!

It's perfect inside too!

So I made a weekend favorite. A Banana Pancake......

I totally forgot to spray my pan with cooking spray, so I scraped
my batter off, cleaned and dried the pan, sprayed it, and started all over. It didn't flip too well, and took on the look of HASHBROWNS!

But you know what it tasted like?
BANANA PANCAKES!!

I used the real deal here, and I usually use Better n Peanut Butter, but I was craving Maple Syrup and powdered sugar!
2 Tablespoons = 3 PPV

The Powdered sugar sprinkled was less than 1 PPV, but I still called it 1 PPV.

Breakfast was Bananalicious!!
9 PPV
(salad with lots of zero point veggies for lunch!)

Have you seen these? I found them at Trader Joe's.

They are..........interesting? I guess they are 0 PPV? I would call it.....Banana Jerky. It tears apart like jerky. It kinda FEELS like jerky?

It's chewy like a raisin?? No doubt, it's weird, but I think I kinda like it.

After awarding myself a Gold Medal for running (nonstop) 2.0 miles on the treadmill.......Followed by Best-Body-Bootcamp........

.....I fixed myself lunch fit for a Gold Medalist!

The subject at Fridays WW meeting was "Build a Better Salad". Several members talked about how much they enjoy fruit in their salad. I don't do that much, but decided since the only thing I had on hand was spinach and strawberries, I'd fix it for lunch. I topped it with walnuts and Cinnamon Pear Balsamic Vinaigrette and a little lite mozzarella.
Salad = 2 PPV

I sliced up some cucumber = 0 PPV

I used the last of my zucchini from my zucchini fries the other night. I actually like them prepared this way better, and it is soooo easy. Heat a grill pan, spray with Olive Oil cooking spray, (or olive oil) cook, top with 1 Tablespoon of Parmesan. So easy, so good, and only 1 PPV

Okay....lots of pictures ahead, but I couldn't decide which ones to leave out! They all seem important!

I bought this crust mix at Tasteful Olive, for you locals. You just add salt, sugar and warm water!

Set on the counter for 15 minutes.....

Add Olive Oil, spread on Pizza pan

I am totally digging all the chicken meatballs and sausages I am finding. The sodium amounts are not ridiculous and they all taste so good! This one is Spinach with Mozzarella.

So I sliced em up and made a Spinach Crust, Spinach with Mozzarella, chicken sausage Pizza!

This is 3 sausages......

My Trader Joe's Lite Mozzarella cheese...yip....more mozzarella!

Yum!

New salad dressing from Trader Joe's......loved it!

A few veggies and some kidney beans......

One slice was only 6 PPV. I ate TWO!

We don't often have dessert, but tonight?

B A N A N A ' S ! ! !

Banana Ice Cream....kinda....

Frozen Bananas, Frozen Strawberries and Coconut Milk!

I did 3 banana's (in chunks), about 6 strawberries, and maybe 1/2 C. Of coconut milk. It's one of those things you just have to play with, and you can't really mess up.....

Toss it all in the blender.....tada! Ice Cream!

Serves two.
Barely 1 PPV.

Refresh...I can eat 26 points a day.
I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise.
I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

Julie Wins Gold! (Julie Vs. Treadmill)

I know....I can't help myself! But I am totally into the Olympics!

Today, I got on the treadmill, walked for a mile....then started my run. I ran 1.25 miles yesterday, and I was feeling pretty proud, so I knew I had to do at least that today. Then, at 1.25, I felt pretty good and knew I could go 1.50. At 1.50, I felt like another 0.25 was totally doable. At 1.75, it seemed kinda dumb to not go 2.0!

I jus ran TWO miles without stopping!

I gave myself this Gold Medal! The dogs looked me like I was an idiot!

Me, crossing the finish line! Pandora rooting me on! I did it!

(so embarrassingly and easily entertained)

I think this post deserves to be all by itself, Nuf said.

:)

"love the life you live, live the life you love"

An Olympic Saturday!

My Olympic Saturday started off with me on the couch with my dogs, my coffee and watching the Olympics......it's hard to pull yourself away once you start watching!

For breakfast, while watching more Olympics, I copied a little treat I found here. She always has the best food combinations! Her name is Julie too! Co-winkydink? Maybe. Who cares. Her website is awesome!

Toasted English Muffin, with honey and COCONUT! It was soooo good!
5 PPV

Crunchy and sweet!

After I pulled myself off and away from the couch, I headed out to mow! It actually felt pretty good outside! When I'm super happy, I mow in a circle, so today in the spirit of the Olympics, I mowed five big circles in the backyard!
(okay, not really, but what an awesome idea for NEXT week! And on occasion, I do mow the front yard in a circle. I start around the big tree in the middle of the front yard, and I just keep going!) Can you say....loser?

When I enter 45 minutes of "push mowing" in my Weight Watchers E-Tools, it tells me I have earned 4 activity points! So, the lawn looks nice and I'm feeling good about getting some activity in!

I like something cold after I mow (and after a workout), so I had a little fruit and yogurt. Have you ever put cinnamon in your vanilla yogurt? Well, you should try it!
1 PPV for half container....

Scrumpdilly! Who doesn't like cinnamon and peaches?

The cinnamon made it extra special!
( hey, look! I still have wedding nails! Yay!)

I hadn't had any protein yet, so I went with a Greek Yogurt Bar!......6 grams of Protein! (genius!)
2 PPV

Lunch...Chicken Salad (extra grapes!)....carrots.
5 PPV

Then, feeling motivated by all of the awesome athletes, I got on the treadmill with the awesome athletes in the background. I planned to run a bit, but hadn't thought about how much. Since recently running a mile for the first time since high school, I knew I had it in me to go a little further, so at the end of my 1/4 mile warm up, I decided to go for 1.25.......so I did.

1.25 miles running! Whew! I'm no Olympian, but I am feeling pretty proud. I haven't really figured out the pace I like yet. 4.0 MPH feels comfortable, but I think it's too slow. I ended my run at 5.0, but really felt winded. Maybe I will get used to that pace? Any thoughts on that from any runners out there?

Afternoon eats included.........
Granola bar 3 PPV
Strawberrys 0 PPV
Chicken tenders 3 PPV

We were headed to our oldest Grandchild's SIXTH (he's SO big)......
(the birthday boy and his little sis)

......birthday party, and I wasn't sure of the menu, so the grilled chicken tenders were for a little protein, and I ate a pretty large portion of strawberries on the drive there.

I'm glad I planned for the party, because I wasn't really hungry when we got there, so I passed on the hotdogs and chips, but did have a small piece of strawberry cake and a small scoop of strawberry ice cream! Yummy.....
8 PPV

I totally forgot my camera and Mikes phone camera and I were not getting along, but the party was at the "other" Grandparents house, and they have the perfect backyard! They have a pool, so it was a pool party, and they also set up the slip and slide! The kids were having a blast and they were all so cute! I will have to post pictures later when I can figure out how to send them to myself off his phone. Remembering to take my readers possibly would have been helpful for reading those little frickin letters on his screen!

Cake and ice cream 8 PPV

When we got home, I was a little hungry, so I had a little protein.
Cottage cheese 2 PPV
String cheese 1 PPV

I drank 15 glasses of water, so I literally floated to bed!

Weigh In Day!

Well, through the wedding food and drink, followed by a week of carbs, followed by a week of hard work and getting back in the game, I managed to stay in the 160's! Yay!

Now, getting back to 165, then moving forward!

At the scale......169.6.

Breakfast during my meeting...Luna Bar and coffee from home.
5 PPV

Lunch...Chicken Salad Wrap, carrots, bananas and strawberries topped with yogurt. (geezzzzz, I was kinda hungry)
9 PPV

I love my Chicken Salad!

Had an afternoon party with these guys after two hours of bill paying and balancing an unbalanced, but now balanced checkbook! I hate it when I discover I have recorded a large deposit twice!!!

Sweet, salty and spicy! 10 PPV!

Happy Hour!
3 PPV

Yikes, 27 PPV already consumed, and no dinner yet! And dinner is out with a group of drinkers!!

We headed to Blue Moose to meet up with the Newlyweds and the brides parents! Yes, I will be referring to them as the Newlyweds for at least a few months! :) Now......this crowd all enjoys their beverages. There were martinis and beer throughout the evening, and appetizers for the table, which included spinach dip with chips, and fried pickles. I had three chips with about a Tablespoon of dip, and one fried pickle spear. I had water, with lemon (about SIX refills, this was really good for me!), and probably four cups of coffee. I ordered the grilled chicken and arugula salad, dressing on the side. I got all wrapped up in the conversation and totally forgot to take a picture, but it was chicken and greens, nothing fancy.
12 PPV

We had such a great time getting together and going over all of the highlights of the wedding. I love these kids!

Probably doesn't surprise anyone that I was up THREE times during the night!

:)

I didn't wake up swollen from a Friday night of beer drinking! Yay!
